Hi RAUK forum people-

I've just been asked to make a very short notice trip to Poole today and I would like to divert via Boscombe/Southbourne to try & see the Wall & Green Lizards. Can anybody tell me the exact location(s) of the colonie(s)? I was born in Bournmouth but moved away when very young (a long time ago!) so my local geography is a bit rusty, but I have satnav with me and can pick up e-mails on my phone on martin@martinslights.com. A location in relation to Boscombe Pier would be a good starting point!

Thanks, Martin.

Hi RAUKers-

Here are two pictures of a lacertid I saw in deepest rural Catalan Spain last weekend. According to the Collins guide, by distribution alone its most likely a Spanish Psammadorus (Psammadorus hispanicus) or an Iberian Wall Lizard (Piodarcis hispanicus). Can anybody give me a positive ID?

Hi RAUKers-

Here's some (not great!) photos I took of some Lacertids this week in Bosnia. I'd like to get some IDs from RAUKers. The first two pics show very small juvenile lizards in Mostar, I'm not sure at all what they are. And the latter three pics show adult lizards in Sarajevo which I assume are Podarcis muralis.

All info and suggestions gratefully received!

Martin Dudley.

Hi David-

I did suspect the second picture might be a juvenile Green Lizard, although I wasn't sure which species. I had no idea what the first one was.

That's a couple of new species for my life list!

Thanks very much, Martin.

Hi Jeroen & David-

Whoa, I'm way out of my depth here! What's a concolor melisellensis ? What's the full name?

Thanks, Martin.

[QUOTE=Jeroen]

Let me try to explain: I suggested that it might be Podarcis melisellensis - Dalmatian Wall Lizard. "Concolor" = unicolour, without obvious stripes, spots, ...

Ah, right, with you now. Thanks...
